Activating your NetID
A NetID is a personal identifier that is used to access SU computing resources. All employees have a NetID assigned. Your NetID will give you access to MySlice, that you will use to view and change your employee information. You must activate your NetID before you can begin using MySlice. Enrolling in Direct Deposit
Employees are encouraged to sign up for direct deposit. Employees may elect to automatically deposit their pay to an unlimited number of bank accounts each pay period. Enrollment is available within Employee Services on MySlice. For assistance reference enroll/update/cancel direct deposit.
Updating your Tax Withholding Allowances (Federal/NY State)
Federal and state income taxes will be deducted from your paycheck. To electronically update your withholding allowances (Federal Form W-4 and NY State Form IT-2104), access Employee Services on MySlice. For assistance reference update your tax withholding status and/or allowances.
Pay Periods and Pay Dates
Pay periods for employees paid weekly begin on a Thursday and end on a Wednesday. Pay for the pay period is on the following Wednesday. Pay periods for employees paid semimonthly begin on the 1st and end the 15th of the month and begin on the 16th and end on the last business day of the month. Pay for these pay periods is on the 15th and the last business day of the month, respectfully. When the 15th is a Saturday, pay will be made on Friday, the 14th. When the 15th is a Sunday, pay will be made on Monday, the 16th. Access the pay dates.
View My Paycheck on MySlice
Each pay period, employees are able to access their paycheck or direct deposit advice within Employee Services on MySlice. Employees with direct deposit of their pay can elect to receive an email notification on pay day instead of a paper direct deposit advice. For assistance reference enroll/update/cancel direct deposit. Employees can view and print their paycheck or direct deposit advice for current and prior pay periods.
